The original of this artwork was done by Achmat Soni in 2021 (Acrylic on Canvas). It depicts The Verse of The Throne (Ayatul Qursi), in Thuluth-styled Calligraphy, which is iluminated with nDebele inspired patterns.
The Ndebele are an Nguni-speaking ethnic group in South Africa, known for their vibrant art, particularly their colorful house paintings and beadwork. They are also recognized for their distinctive clothing and ornaments.
