Nazmie studied in Egypt at the hands of Master Calligrapher Hamidi Belaid who is from Morocco. He has studied Ru’qah, Diwani, Jaly Diwani, Magriby and Kufi Mushafy styles of Calligraphy. He has attained his Ijaazah in Magriby, Diwani and Jaly Diwani. After spending almost nine years in Egypt he returned To South Africa in July 2012. He assisted his teacher at UCT, Michaelis School of Fine Art, where they held arabic calligraphy workshops.
